Billionaire Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and working class
mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) are from opposite worlds. At the
crossroads of their lives, they share a hospital room and discover they have
two things in common: a desire to spend the remaining time doing all the things
you have always wanted before they throw the spoon and unrealized need to come
to terms with what they did. Together, they embark on a journey, along the way
becoming friends and learning how to live life to the fullest. Each adventure
crossing out one item on their list, all with humor and meaning.
